Practical Nursing

This program is designed to prepare competent individuals for a challenging career in health care. The licensed practical nurse is a vital member of the health care team and functions in a variety of health care settings. The state licensure examination follows graduation. This program is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing. Students complete clinical hours in participating hospitals in the community.

Program Prerequisite Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Background Check
  • Drug Screening

Practical Nursing Teaches:

  • Basic Healthcare Worker (90 hours)
  • Nurse Aide & Orderly – Articulated; clinical rotations begin during this section (75 hours)
  • Practical Nursing 1 (285 hours)
  • Practical Nursing 2 (450 hours)
  • Practical Nursing 3 (450 hours)
